He went into the office to ask why disabled people get only $375/month to pay their rent and utilities but found that nobody in the office or the MLA knew anything about it. Since we PWDs are too poor to own computers, he is using the computers in the office to find information like: how much do PWDs in other provinces get; by what percent has the cost of rent and utilities gone up since the last time our shelter allowance went up; what is the average rent and utilities cost in various parts of the province. I will be posting this information here as I receive it. It would be helpful if other people in the province would contact their MLAs, local papers, friends and family and inform them of this biggest injustice facing PWDs in B. C.
